Salman Aristo is a critically acclaimed producer, screenwriter, and director.
He is widely known for his box office and award-winning works such as Laskar Pelangi, Garuda in My Chest, and Athirah. Recently, he adapted Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s classic, This Earth of Mankind. His directorial debut, Jakarta Maghrib was officially selected for the Busan Film Festival on 2011, and his most recent series titled DO [S] A, a production that he created with Mohd Saniboey Ismail as a collaborative effort between three countries, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, has been honored with the TV Asia Drama award from the 2019 Busan International Film Festival.
Salman Aristo is also the CEO of Wahana Kreator, the first and leading story based company in Indonesia that focuses on story development, film production, and education.
