Now as the chief operation officer and managing director of the Workpoint TV digital channel, Chalakorn Panyashom has been an important part in contributing to establish Workpoint Group at the forefront of Thailand’s entertainment industry especially in television content production, which has been the company’s core strength throughout its 30 years of business. He has been an executive producer of all programmes produced under Workpoint Group, including the big hit “Super Fan” and the phenomenal “The Mask Singer” and which were both nominated at the prestigious International Emmy Awards in 2017 and 2018 consecutively.
Given national ratings success and international recognition, Workpoint has been awarded as the Best Digital Television Station by a prestigious awarding institution in Thailand.
Aside from digital TV responsibility, Panyashom also oversees the company’s online content distribution over platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Line TV. With his knowledge on market trends, data interpretation, and his willingness to think outside the box, Workpoint has seen its success over its online platform and dominated the country’s online entertainment industry. It was ranked number 1 in the digital TV business category and dubbed as Thailand’s most social power brand in 2016. Most recently, Workpoint’s official YouTube channel has earned over 23 million subscribers, reigning number 1 in Southeast Asia.
Panyashom’s extensive experience in television content production and knowledge on digital platform also resulted in him being invited to be a speaker in academic events organised by many institutions ranging from telco, university, hospital to commercial bank, including TED Talks in Thailand. In July 2019, Panyashom was also invited to take part as a juror at the semi-final round of judging of the International Emmy Awards hosted by production house activeTV in Singapore. In addition, he was also participated as a jury member for Thailand Zocial Awards 2019, which aims to grant awards to Thailand’s best brand, best celebrity, and best influencer on social media.
