Chief Executive Officer, FUN Union
Christine Brendle is the Chief Executive Officer of FUN Union.
Based in Hong Kong, she steers the FUN Union ship by designing and executing growth strategies to expand FUN Union brands worldwide, including BabyRiki, KikoRiki & PinCode.
With over 25 years of experience in media – and more than 21 years of being a mother – she’s passionate about combining content and new technology to build and serve communities of like-minded followers.
Prior to FUN Union, Christine was an entrepreneur developing a children’s digital learning platform (Kids Dailies).
She worked for Dow Jones from 2006 to 2013 as managing director Asia and publisher of The Wall Street Journal Asia, leading the development of Dow Jones brands across Asia- Pacific, including The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires and Factiva. She introduced new B2B and B2C digital formats, extending coverage with country specific content in local languages.
From 1995 to 2001, Christine served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hachette Filipacchi Asia Pacific where she played a key role in the launch and growth of local editions of ELLE and CAR And Driver magazines. She held previous roles with Hachette Filipacchi in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Japan, New York and Paris.
Christine received an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business Administration of Columbia University in New York, and a diploma from ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) in France.
She sits on the board of Leonard Paris as Non-Executive Director and was awarded the distinction of Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite in 2012 for her role as adviser to the French Trade Commissioner.
