COO, CJ E&M HK
Anne Chan is currently COO of CJ E&M HK, overseeing Korean entertainment channels tvN Asia & tvN Movies; and Asia Head of Global Sales, CJ ENM, covering content, digital and festival products including MAMA and KCON. Since 2016, Chan has been taking the lead to expand CJ ENM’s reiognal business from driving sponsorship sales and branded content productions to cultivating different business opportunities in the region.
Prior to CJ ENM, Anne was the General Manager of LI TV and has led the team since it established in 2008. Credited for a steady track record of launching new businesses, her media experience spans more than 10 years.
Before joining LI TV ASIA, Anne was based in Hong Kong, managing the circulation of Time and Fortune magazines around Asia Pacific. She then became the Channel Manager for Asia in BBC Prime, now known as BBC Entertainment. After successfully launching BBC Prime across the continent, she became responsible for managing the channel’s revenues and commercial partners. During her tenure, BBC Prime on Skylife brought in 1 million subscribers, making this the biggest affiliate deal for BBC Prime in Asia since its launch. After 2 years, Anne then moved on to Singapore. As the Vice President of Network Distribution for Asian Food Channel, she launched the channel in Asia, securing strategic business relationships regionally.
She went on to Measat Satellite Systems in Kuala Lumpur, where she began building the broadcast business for M3, a brand-new US$300 million satellite as well as M3a satellite for high-definition programming. As the Director of Broadcast Sales, she brought in a strong line-up of new channels such as National Geographic HD, National Geographic Channel, National Geographic Wild Channel, Voom HD, FOX Crime, Fx, ESPN StarSports, The Golf Channel, The History Channel, Crime and Investigation Network, among others, garnering a revenue of US$15 million in 2008.
